What is a Claude skill?

A skill is a small folder with instructions (a SKILL.md file, plus any templates or scripts it needs) that teaches Claude how to do one job well. Claude reads the short description of every skill you’ve installed and loads the right one when your request matches it. You don’t call skills by name: you ask in plain words.

On its own, Claude can only write about sales. With the Kombo connector (our MCP server) it can also do the work: search 600M+ contacts, save lists, draft campaigns and read your scored calls. Each skill is the playbook that tells Claude how to use those tools the way a good rep would, with Kombo’s guardrails built in.

Install in two minutes

Claude (web or desktop)

  1. Open Customize > Skills.
  2. Click +, then Create skill > Upload a skill.
  3. Upload one ZIP from the zips/ folder of the pack (one ZIP per skill), or download a single skill above.
  4. Toggle the skill on. On Team and Enterprise plans you can share it or publish it to your whole organization.

Claude Code

Copy any folder from skills/ into ~/.claude/skills/ (just for you) or .claude/skills/ in a project (shared with your team). Skills enabled in your Claude account also sync to Claude Code when you sign in with the same account.

For every skill marked Kombo MCP, add the Kombo connector to Claude as well. Then just ask: “Build me a list of RevOps leaders at Series B fintechs in Spain.”

Safe by design

  • No surprise spend. Searches and lists are free. Anything that uses credits shows the cost and asks first.
  • Drafts, never sends. Campaigns are only ever saved as drafts. Nothing goes out until you launch it in the Kombo extension.
  • Preview before anything irreversible. Deleting a campaign or list, or cancelling a step, always shows a preview and asks to confirm.
  • Clear about sharing. Call share links are public for 7 days, and the skills say so when they hand one out.
